GLO 2 Garmin, GPS and GLONASS sensor

Navigate with Garmin GPS data on the mobile device of your choice. The GLO 2 receiver takes advantage of two technologies by combining GPS/GLONASS receivers and Bluetooth® wireless technology. This means you can benefit from accurate position information on your iPad®, iPhone® or Android™ device.

The precision of the GPS and GLONASS network

The GLO 2 receiver can receive position information from the GPS and GLONASS satellite constellations. This gives it an additional 24 satellites compared with devices that rely solely on GPS. This enables the GLO 2 receiver to acquire satellite signals 20% faster, and maintain the connection even at high speeds. What's more, the GLO 2 receiver updates its position information 10 times per second - up to 10 times more frequently than the GPS receivers built into many mobile devices.

Configuration and start-up

The GLO 2 receiver connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth wireless technology. Simply place your GLO2 within range of your mobile device and, moments later, you'll receive position data from the GLO 2 receiver. Its battery lasts up to 13 hours, so you can keep track of your position over long distances. To recharge your GLO 2 between uses, simply use the USB cable supplied or an optional 12/24 V cigarette-lighter cable. The optional non-slip mount secures the receiver to your dashboard, giving it an unobstructed view of the satellites.
