Drones and Data Management

The year is 2020 AD. All drones are made in China and used to make pretty aerial videos. All of them? No! On closer inspection, there is a huge variety of drones, in all shapes and forms, with increasingly specialized functions, to carry out tasks that are becoming more and more numerous and varied, in fields of application that are limited only by the imagination... and the economic utility that can be found in them.

This book is aimed at the curious, beginner or experienced remote pilot of course, but also at anyone wishing to discover some of the professional applications made possible by drones today. These tools are all the more powerful in that they are increasingly coupled with data management and processing systems, enabling data to be analyzed and capitalized on (commonly referred to as "Data Management"). Whether it's land measurement for surveyors, high-voltage line inspection or advanced analysis for the agricultural sector, this book tells you (almost) everything, with numerous illustrations to accompany the concrete explanations.

The first chapter retraces the beginnings of the consumer drone, in 2010, and the last presents the introduction of regulations in France, which has enabled the activity to develop.
