Illustrated Alphabet of the BIA

This 500-entry primer explores the technical terms, concepts, people and aircraft of the aerospace world, in line with the BIA (Brevet d'initiation à l'aéronautique) syllabus.

Richly illustrated with original diagrams and photographs, it provides a useful complement to the traditional course, enabling students to work independently and increase their chances of passing the exam. Candidates will find an entry corresponding to all the questions asked in recent years. Over 200 proper nouns will help them tackle the "history and culture of aeronautics and space" part of the syllabus.

The book is also aimed at BIA instructors, whether they have or are preparing for the CAEA, people preparing for an aeronautical diploma, exam or competitive examination, and more generally anyone wishing to enter the world of aeronautics and space, to discover its richness, passion and rigor, and acquire a solid scientific and technical culture.
