Leon Jeantet
Founded in 1880 by Eugène Jeantet in Morez, Jura, the Jeantet company began by making eyeglasses, pince-nez for cyclists and motorists. As early as 1905, the company specialized further and expanded its catalog to 50 models, even including glasses for dogs!
Under the direction of his sons, Léon and Gaston Jeantet, the company focused on making glasses for motorists and cyclists. In 1927, Eugène Jeantet created the company logo, featuring a bee to symbolize the qualities of work, courage, perseverance, and precision in the design of their glasses.
In 1929, Léon Jeantet launched the "Aviator Goggle" brand, dedicated to sports enthusiasts practicing motorcycling, car racing, and especially aviation. These protective goggles were designed to provide clear vision and optimal protection during aeronautical activities. The brand was registered and quickly became iconic in the field of visual safety for pilots.
In 1947, Gérard Sirven, son-in-law of Léon Jeantet, continued to exclusively manufacture protective goggles. His sons, including Pierre-Léon Sirven, carried on this legacy. In 1992, Pierre-Léon Sirven relaunched the production of "Aviator Goggle", continuing the family tradition in the same facilities and with the same high-quality materials that had protected the eyes of many pilots over the decades.
Over the years, Aviator Goggle has distinguished itself through its commitment to quality and innovation. The goggles continue to be manufactured with rigorous standards, meeting the demands of pilots and professionals in the aviation field.
Aviator Goggle embodies the union of tradition and modernity, offering high-end, recognized protective eyewear while perpetuating a rich family legacy in history and innovation in aviation.
