Every year, aviation professionals and aviation enthusiasts eagerly await the new versions of aeronautical charts. In 2023, several changes were made to the SIA and Éditera charts, which will surely interest pilots.
SIA Charts, Multiple Editions for Their Aeronautical Charts
To start, on the SIA charts side, there are several significant changes. First, the VFR folder will disappear and will be replaced by the VFR documents.
The PVC envelope, which contains the charts, the brochure, and the supplement, will no longer be provided with the charts. However, it can still be ordered separately if needed. Similarly, the South and North charts can be ordered separately, just like the chart supplements.
There will also be two editions for the VFR documents:
- 1st edition on April 20, 2023
 - 2nd edition on November 30, 2023

Next, the 250K laminated charts are being continued due to their success in 2022. Pilots will therefore be able to continue using these charts, which are very practical in flight.
However, the SIA charts have seen a price increase, which is important for pilots planning to order them for 2023.
Éditerra Charts, A New Aeronautical Chart!
Now, let's move on to Éditera charts (Air million). The good news is that a new chart will be added to the range: the Morocco & Canaries chart. This chart will surely appeal to pilots planning flights in this region. The bad news is that one chart is being discontinued: the Weekend France chart is no longer available. Furthermore, Bayo's store is supporting Éditera charts for the second consecutive year. Pilots can now find our visual of the France charts.
2023 Aeronautical Charts, Available on bayo.com!
It is important to note that all IGN, SIA, Cartabossy, and Éditerra charts are already available for pre-order on our online store!
