Comfort and fit

The Air 3100 features a comfortable, foam-filled headband and ear cushions. The headband distributes the helmet's weight evenly without pressure points for maximum wearer comfort. The ear cushions combine comfort and light weight with an excellent acoustic seal. An outer layer of urethane ensures long life, and gel-filled ear cushions are also available.

Microphone

The boom arm features a sealed ball-and-socket joint and a flexible boom for precise microphone placement on any head size. The arrow rotates above the boom to position the microphone on either side of the head. The microphone cartridge features a noise-reducing electret element; the cartridge snaps in easily for replacement. The microphone amplifier, housed in the microphone cartridge, is adjustable through an opening in the microphone assembly.

Rope

The microphone cartridge is protected inside the boom arm. Shielded wire throughout the headset protects against RFI and EMI. Stress reliefs on all cords offer maximum durability.

Portability

The Air 3100 features a unique design that allows it to fold into an extremely compact form for storage and transport.

FAA OST approval

The Air 3100 helmet is approved for airborne use under FAA TSO C57A and C58A. The Air 3100L is approved for aviation use under FAA TSO C57A.

The Telex Air3100 is a medium-weight noise reduction headset with amplified, noise-canceling and electrified microphones. It has a noise reduction rating of 21 dB, and are suitable for use in moderately noisy aircraft. All models feature a unique headband that distributes ear cushion pressure evenly over the entire ear without pressure points, unlike conventional models that apply more pressure to the bottom of the ear than the top. An added benefit of this design is that the headset folds into an extremely compact form for storage. The Air3100 helmet is approved for aircraft use under FAA TSO C57a and C58a. The Air3100L helmet is approved for aircraft use under FAA TSO C57a.
