B- RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY LIGHTING
5.1.1.11. General indications
Beacons delimiting unpaved areas must emerge from low vegetation to be visible under oblique observation... These markers must be easy to overturn or frangible, so as not to damage a light aircraft which might hit them.
These beacons can be :
- pyramidal or truncated cone-shaped markers, white for runway delimitation, yellow for taxiways;
- dihedral-shaped markers (white and red) to mark the ends of the runway...
5.1.1.12. Aircraft runways
Aircraft runways are marked by white beacons and markers, arranged as follows:
- on the long sides of the runway, white pyramidal or truncated cone-shaped markers spaced at regular intervals of around 50 m, and rectangular markers 6 m long and 1.20 m wide spaced at intervals of around 200 m or arranged at a ratio of one marker for every 3 markers ;
- at the 4 corners, L-shaped markers and dihedral markers delimiting the corners of the strip...
5.1.1.14. Mixed-use runways (airplanes and gliders).
When the same runway is intended to be used both by airplanes and gliders, its width will be at least 50 m... its lighting is that prescribed for aircraft runways
