It is with great consideration for our aviation community that we share an important update regarding our aviation VHF range.
After years of exceptional service, we announce the discontinuation of the production of the aviation VHF IC-A25NEFRII. Currently, the stock of this VHF is depleted, and ICOM does not plan any new production.
We understand that this news may raise questions and concerns. However, rest assured that we remain committed to meeting the needs of our aviation community. As an alternative, the IC-A25CEFRII VHF remains available and is our primary offering for onboard radio communication.
As a reminder: The difference between the two radios was the onboard navigation in the IC-A25NEFRII.
We would like to emphasize that the IC-A25CEFRII remains compliant with the certification standards required to be used as a primary onboard radio for aircraft of the ULM, CNRA, CNRAC, or CNSK types, with a flight level below FL150 and a maximum speed of 300 km/h, meeting the 8.33kHz spacing standard. We firmly believe that this portable VHF will meet your safety and communication needs.
Our team remains at your full disposal to provide any additional information you may need regarding our Aviation range.
